One Twenty Two

We are a Christian worship band that performs a variety of secular and non-secular music. Our name comes from the book of Romans verse 12:2 -"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect His will really is."

We just want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting us Sunday night. We had a blast! For the one gentleman who thought we were too loud: we hope we didn't offend you. We just wanted everyone to hear how we feel about God. We also thank you for being patient with the wait staff. The poor girl was swamped. I don't think they ever plan on having that many people show up for a Christian music event. We just love doing what God has blessed us to do. Not only do we get to play music, and yes, sometimes loud music, but we also get to worship Him at the same time. We will be back at The Last Chance Saloon in September. We don't have anything planned before then, except a private party. Stay tuned, you never know what God has in store for us! Until then, you can catch some of us playing on various worship teams at one of four Chapel campuses. Thanks again! See you soon.

Show Update

The Feburary 11th show at the Last Chance Saloon has been changed do to a conflict in our work schedules. We will post the new date as soon as it has been confirmed. We are sorry if this has caused any inconvenience to anyone, but unfortunately we still all have day jobs! I believe Narrow Road is going to take our date, so go out and support our brothers and sisters in Christ!. I hope everyone's Christmas and New year was awesome. All of ours was. We have not been able to get into the studio as first planned, because of everyone's holiday schedules and work schedules. Elise's grandfather passed away just before Christmas so please pray for her and her family that God would bring them comfort during their time of mourning. Please stay tuned for more shows to be added. God Bless!!

Thanksgiving

I pray that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. My prayer is that everyone would take this time to reflect on all the things God has done in our lives. Even when you have a "JOB like year" , like I have had. This year has been a rough one. I was laid off from my job back in July, which has caused us to fall behind in our finances. My wife, who already suffers from Lupus, has had some more serious health issues that the doctors can't seem to figure out. Then to top it off, I hit a deer the other night and wrecked our car, which I was trying to sell to get us caught up. Some would say how can I possibly be thankful? Well believe me sometimes it is tuff, but I look to Ephesians 1, 13-14. "And now you also have heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us everything he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. This is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious God". You see, I am thankful for the ultimate gift God has given to me, and you. The gift of everlasting life with Jesus. The trials I am experiencing now are temporary. The joy that I have knowing I am loved by God and will someday spend eternity in His presence far outweighs any circumstances I am going through in this life. My friends, we have a lot to be thankful for. So as everyone gathers with their families and friends this Thanksgiving, I pray that you too would remember the ultimate gift God has given us. His death on the cross wasn't just for a select few, but was for all of us. His death is the ultimate gift. Be safe this holiday and God Bless

New Singer Update

One Twenty Two would like to formally announce Scott Adams as a permanent member. Scott is a multi-talented singer songwriter and is currently a youth worship leader at The Chapel-Grayslake. We are very excited to have Scott and his talent and energy. With the line up now set, we will be heading into the studio this winter. Look for some snipets here soon. Check back often as we start to fill out our calender for the coming year! The benefit for the Super Jake Foundation was a huge success as they raised over $100,000 for pediatric cancer research. We would like to thank all those that gave generously and personally thank the Widman family for letting us be a part of this great cause. November 19th One Twenty Two will be leading worship at THe Chapel-Barrington campus. We will be leading once every 4 weeks. The service time is at 10:00 am. Come out for some great worship and an awesome message from God's word. Until next time, God bless!

122 Searches for a new vocalist

Our long time friend and brother in Christ, Kevin Koons, has decided to step down from 122 to pursue his MBA. Kevin has been with us from the beginning and is going to be missed. We are currently in the middle of finding a replacement. Our gig on Nov. 3rd is still on. Elise will be doing vocals on all the songs. Hopefully God will bring us someone soon to take over for Kevin.
We would also like to thank Brad Boyle, who has been sitting in for Kerry. Kerry has been traveling with his daughter's soccer team. Both, Brad & Kerry, will be playing on Nov. 3rd. They switched off between the kit and percussion during the show at The Last Chance Saloon in Grayslake and went so well that they will be doing the same on the 3rd.Thanks Brad! Check back soon for more updates. Until then, have a blessed day!

In Christ,
Larry
